
Rainmen Shut Down Power, Set NBL Canada Record

(OSHAWA, ON) The Halifax Rainmen washed out the Oshawa Power during a Christmas Eve match-up at the General Motors Centre tonight when they defeated the home team by a score of 125 to 99. The Rainmen broke an NBL Canada record in the win, setting the most points scored by a single team in one game at 125.
Leading the Rainmen were Lawrence Wright and Taliek Brown with 18 points each, followed by Bryan McCullough with 16 and Joey Haywood with 15.
The leading scorer for the Power was Brandon Robinson with 25 points, followed by Morgan Lewis with an impressive 21 points and 11 rebounds. The box score statistics can be found at www.dakstats.com.
The Rainmen return to Halifax with an improved record of 10 wins and 4 losses, and are now ranked as the second-place team in the NBL Canada standings.
The Rainmen will return to the Metro Centre on Sunday, January 1 at 2:00 p.m. where they will once again face the Oshawa Power. Tickets for the New Years Day game can be purchased at the Metro Centre Box Office and Ticket Atlantic locations.
