
Oshawa Power Lose to Halifax Rainmen 125-99

(OSHAWA, ON) Durham s team the Oshawa Power dropped their Christmas Eve matchup with the Halifax Rainmen 125-99 at the GM Centre on Saturday night.
The Power came out the gates with a lot of energy early on battling the Rainmen neck and neck in the first half. A late second quarter surge gave the Rainmen a ten point advantage at the half, 57-47. The Rainmen continued to feed of their late first half momentum as they started the second half on a 17-4 run and never looked back.
Morgan Lewis showed signs of getting back into his great form prior to his injury which saw him miss five and a half weeks, as he recorded a near triple-double of 21 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Brandon Robinson added a game high 25 points.
The Rainmen got a great performance from their point guard Taliek Brown who netted 18 points and dished out 8 assists. Lawrence Wright added an additional 18 points.
The Power will now look to avenge their loss against the 2-12 Moncton Miracles. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m. at the General Motor Centre on December 29, 2011.
