Rainmen Add Big Man to Roster
November 5, 2012 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Halifax Rainmen News Release
The Halifax Rainmen beefed up their front-court over the weekend by signing former Saint John Mill Rat Antoine Tisby, pending FIBA clearance.
Tisby anchored the Mill Rats post last season, playing in 27 games while averaging 13 points and eight rebounds before heading overseas in February.
Rainmen President and CEO Andre Levingston believes Tisby, the 6'8" 230lb power forward, has the size and toughness that will complement an already strong post presence.
"I'm really excited to add Tisby to our roster. He was hands down the best big in our league last season. He will give us even more muscle and size, along with Paul (Nelson), in the middle," said Levingston.
Tisby is expected to join the team this week and will be available for the Rainmen home opener Saturday, November 10th against his former team.
The Rainmen's regular season home opener takes place on Saturday, November 10 th at 7:00 p.m. when they face the Saint John Millrats.
Tickets for the November 10th home opener are available at any Ticket Atlantic location or by calling 444-RAIN.
