Worcester Bravehearts News Release
Worcester, MA- The Worcester Bravehearts' matchup against the New Britain Bees at Fitton Field has been suspended in the bottom of the third inning with Worcester leading 3-2.
Fans who purchased tickets for Tuesday's game will be allowed to redeem their tickets for another game.
Andrew Selima (Merrimack) got the scoring started in the bottom of the second with a solo home run.
After New Britain came back in the top of the inning to score two runs and take a 2-1 lead, the Bravehearts rallied.
A two-run third inning gave Worcester the lead before rain forced a stoppage of play. Nick Martin (Westfield State) scored on an error, and a Tayven Kelley (Penn State) sacrifice fly scored Randy Flores (Franklin Pierce).
The Bravehearts are on the road Wednesday in Brockton to face the Rox before returning to Fitton Field Thursday to host the Nashua Silver Knights. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35.
