Raiders Trim 11 after Intra Squad Game

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - Following a 6-3 victory by Team White over Team Black in the Annual Intra Squad game, the Prince Albert Raiders made 11 cuts to their Western Hockey League training camp roster. Reassigned to their respective Midget teams were: 15 year-old goaltender Eric Williams, 16 year-old defencemen Steven Nolte, Nathan Hudema and Landon Hall, 16 year-old forwards Sean Aschim, Stefan Meunier, Cody Michelle and Trevor Cheek, 17 year-old defenceman Dane Olsen and 17 year-old forwards Josh Manson and Taylor Wasden. The moves leave the Raiders with 34 on their training camp roster including 3 goaltenders, 11 defensemen and 20 forwards. Of those players four are 15 year-olds: forward Mark McNeill and defencemen Harrison Ruopp, Matthew Waseylenko and Austin Frank. In the Intra Squad game six different players on Team White scored including Sean Aschim, Manson, Dustin Cameron, Andy Smith, Kyle Golz and Igor Revenko while Robbie Ciolfi and Tomas Voracek each had 2 assists. Ryan Harrison, James Dobrowolski and Justin Bernhardt replied for Team Black with Matt Robertson picking up two helpers. The Raiders begin two a day practices for the remainder of the week starting tomorrow at the Art Hauser Centre at 1 PM. This weekend the WHL pre-season kicks off with the Raiders entertaining the Saskatoon Blades at 6:30 PM Sunday. This game is in all season ticket holders packages as long as they have paid for their tickets in full. The Raider Office is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM for people to pick up their tickets, renew or purchase new season tickets.
