
Raiders To Take On Marion Tonight

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (April 5, 2008)- Tonight the 2-0 Rochester Raiders will travel to Marion, Ohio to take on the 2-1 Marion Mayhem at 7:30 at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Both teams are coming off impressive wins last week and it is anticipated to be an extremely exciting divisional matchup. ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Marion is the only other team then Port Huron that the Raiders have lost to in the history of the franchise.
"We are playing a very difficult team tonight," commented Raiders co-owner David McCarthy, "The last time we came here they beat us. Coach (Ed Long) made some roster changes this week and he has prepared the guys well for tonight. It should be an exciting game."
The Raiders are off to a fast start by winning their first two games of the 2008 season, most recently with a win over the Lehigh Valley Outlawz in their first home game at the Blue Cross Arena. The Raiders will return home to Rochester next week to play the New Jersey Revolution on Military Night, Saturday April 12th at 2:00. All members of the military will receive $2 off tickets purchased at the door on the day of the game. The following week, April 19th the Raiders will play the Saginaw Sting at 7:30pm in which Former Buffalo Bill and Hall of Fame Quarterback Jim Kelly will be on hand for Hunter's Hope Night. A portion of tickets proceeds will be donated to the Hunter's Hope Foundation.
