Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide News Release

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME - After two seasons in Old Orchard Beach, Raging Tide General Manager Taylor McCarthy has accepted a job as the Marketing Director for the Stockton Ports (Oakland Athletics A Affiliate) of the California League.

After signing with the Raging Tide in February of 2012, McCarthy became the first GM in the organization's brief history since joining the Futures Collegiate Baseball League of New England.

The Raging Tide recently completed a historic 2013 season which saw the organization reach record highs in attendance as well as their first playoff appearance in franchise history.

"I would like to thank the wonderful town of Old Orchard Beach for adopting me into their community from day one. I will never forget the support the great fans of Old Orchard Beach showed me and the Raging Tide organization in my time as GM. Most importantly, I would like to thank the best owners in baseball, John and Pam Gallo for providing me with an opportunity of a lifetime," said McCarthy.

"Our organization would not be what it is today without Taylor's leadership these past two years," said Owner, John Gallo. "While we are sad to see him go, we are excited to see how his career progresses with the Stockton Ports and wish him the best of luck."

The Raging Tide is currently looking for a new GM following the departure of McCarthy. Resumes and inquiries can be sent to taylor@oobragingtide.com or interested parties can visit the Raging Tide website at www.oobragingtide.com for more information.
