OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME- The Old Orchard Beach cannot take advantage of late rally and fall to the Seacoast Mavericks Friday night 5-4. Colin Gay (Franklin, MA/ University of Maine) went 3-5 in the losing effort.

The Tide left 10 players on base and were unable to take advantage of some key opportunities. Joey Royer (Windham, ME/ University of New Haven) takes the loss, going 3.1 IP, with five ER, 6 hits, and one SO. Oliver Van Zant (Westport, CT/ Bowdoin College) continues his stellar pitching out of the bullpen going 1 IP, with two SO. Oliver is tied with brother Henry with 0.00 ERA and has 10 strikeouts in only six innings of work.

For the Mavericks, Brendon Mulligan (Bellerose, NY/ Hofstra University) picks up the victory going four innings, giving up only one earned run, with five strikeouts.

The Raging Tide return to action tomorrow against the Nashua Silver Knights with a double header. First game starts at 4pm and the second is at 6pm. Admission will only be charged for one game.
