RiverCity Rage News Release
The RiverCity Rage defeated the Lincoln Capitols 114-6 last night at Savvis Center in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. This score is a franchise record blasting the old record of 90 points in a single game. This win crowns the Rage NIFL Atlantic North Division Champions. The Rage are now (10-1) on the season. The Capitols are (0-11).
1st QUARTER:
Hurtis Chinn caught one touchdown pass and ran another into the endzone while Adam Warren ran back a fumble recovery.
2nd QUARTER:
Chinn ran for a 14 yard touchdown starting the scoring in the second quarter. Sha-Ron Edwards ran for three touchdowns equaling 32 yards on the ground on scoring plays. The Rage also collected a safety.
3rd QUARTER:
The third quarter started with Edwards running 14 yards reaching the endzone. The Rage then collected another safety followed by Edwards running for another touchdown and Moses Regular catching a two yard pass.
4th QUARTER:
The fourth quarter was a big one for new Rage Quarterback Josh Lamberson as he threw the first touchdown pass of his indoor football career which was caught by Chinn. Other scoring for the rage included; Joe Bevis rushing for eight yards, Adam Warren recovering a fumble after a pass from Lamberson to Mike Lawrence, Kasey Young rushing for seven yards and Mike Matranga getting a safety. The Rage also had a team safety.
The Capitols only points came with 11:48 left in the game when Carrawell returned a kickoff.
