Rage Welcome Omaha to Town Saturday

St. Charles, MO - Coming off of their exciting 26-25, come-from-behind win at Wichita last week, the undefeated RiverCity Rage will welcome the Omaha Beef to town this Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7:00 with the gates at the Family Arena opening at 6:00. The first 2,000 fans will receive a $5 carwash coupon from our friends at Green Lantern Express Service Car Wash.
The Rage (2-0) trailed Wichita 19-0 at halftime last Saturday before rallying in the final two quarters for the victory. The winning points were scored on a safety as defensive end Terrell Washington blocked a field goal attempt with 1:02 left on the clock. Rage head coach Ken Stills was happy with the win, though still not satisfied with his team's overall play.
"The good thing about our play right now is that we are finishing games," said Stills. "I think Wichita might have thought they had it won. But our guys never quit. We knew we were still in the game, even down by 19 points. All of our coaches have been stressing all year to always finish. Whether it's a run, a tackle, or a game, winning teams always finish."
The Omaha Beef (1-1) bring the UIF's second ranked offensive attack that averages 283 yards per game. However, the find themselves last in the league in defense as they allow 301.5 yards per contest. The Rage are their polar opposites as they are second in the league in defense (183.5 allowed) and last in offense (154.5 gained).
"Something's got to give, as they say," adds Stills. "I know it's only been two games, but the stats are telling me that each team is going against the other's strength. Our defense will be tested for sure. The Beef bring the league's second leading rusher and third leading passer, and it's the same guy (James McNear). We haven't faced anyone like him all season. If we can contain McNear we have a great chance to come away with another victory this weekend."
The RiverCity Rage Professional Indoor Football Team is a member of the United Indoor Football League. All Rage home games are played at The Family Arena in St. Charles, MO.
