Dec. 3 @ Rapid City Rush, 3-1 Win - Rocky Mountain rode three goal scorers - Simon Watson, Colt King, and Brent Cullaton - and 18 saves from goaltender Marty Magers to victory in its first-ever trip to Rapid City.
Dec. 6 @ Colorado Eagles, 4-2 Loss - Down 2-0 just two minutes into the game, the Rage rebounded to out-play the Eagles over the final 58 minutes but still ended up on the wrong side of the ledger. King and Nathan O'Nabigon scored, the latter's goal a short-handed tally that moved Rocky Mountain within one, 3-2, early in the third period. Unable to notch the equalizer, the Rage pulled Magers in the waning moments but yielded an empty-net goal for the final result.

ONE STEP FORWARD, ONE STEP BACK Despite the fine effort on Saturday against Colorado, the Rage still failed to secure back-to-back wins, a feat they have only accomplished once this season on Nov. 14 and 15 at New Mexico and Odessa, respectively. Beginning with the victory over the Jackalopes, Rocky Mountain has now alternated wins and losses over its last eight games. Still, the team's 5-4-0 record the last four weeks sure beats its 1-7-1 start through the season's first four weeks.
RAPID-FIRE CITY Following last Wednesday's victory, the Rage are now 2-0-0 against the Rush this year, and each game has turned into a shooting gallery for the club. During a 4-3 shootout win on Nov. 22 in Broomfield, Rocky Mountain set a new franchise record for largest shot margin by out-gunning Rapid City, 45-15. Then on Wednesday, the Rage built a 2-0 lead in the second period by out-shooting the Rush, 21-4. The +17 edge in shots established another team mark for largest shot margin in a single period. The 21 shots were also a period high for Rocky Mountain this season.
STREA"KING" Colt King registered a point for the fifth straight game when he scored on Saturday against the Eagles. The fifth-year pro has found the score sheet in nine of the last 10 games overall and continues to lead the Rage with 19 points (6g-13a) this season. Cullaton is second on the team with 18 points (2g-16a), followed by Aaron Davis with 14 (9g-5a).
DEFENDING CHAMPS VISIT The defending President's Cup Champion Arizona Sundogs visit Broomfield Event Center for a pair of games this week. Rocky Mountain's first win of the season was at the expense of the 'Dogs in Broomfield on Oct. 25, 4-1. One area of improvement the Rage are striving for is better results on home ice where the team is just 2-5-0 this year. Arizona scuffled through the first quarter of the season as it tries to mount its title defense. The Sundogs will arrive at the BEC with a record of 9-13-1 and in second place in the Southwest Division with 19 points.
