RiverCity Rage News Release

St. Louis - December 11, 2006 - Yesterday morning on ESPN 1380 AM, Rage Team President, Tye Elliott, made the announcement about the new head coach.

Jim Cox has been named the new Rage Head Football Coach and Director of Football Operations. Before coming to the Rage, Cox was the head coach at William Penn College among others, both on the college and high school levels, including Missouri Valley College, where he coached current Rage superstar Moses Regular. In the year immediately preceding his start with the Rage, Cox was an Assistant Coach at NCAA Division I-AA Southeast Missouri State University.

"This is not a position that I took lightly, due to the amount of success we have had over the last few seasons," said Cox. "I look forward to working with our management and our coaching staff to put the best possible team out on the field for our fans."

Team President Tye Elliott had the following comments about the decision, "Due to the franchise moving into a new league, we really wanted to promote within the ranks. Coach Cox has shown that he not only has the knowledge needed to be a head coach, but has also shown he knows how to deal with diverse groups of players."

"I am pumped about this decision," said Rage General Manager Matt Jones. "Coach Cox knows this team inside and out, and that was something that was very important to us when evaluating the possible candidates."

Cox, who lives in St. Charles, MO, will retain his position at Lindenwood University as Head Track and Field Coach.
