
Racers reach out to local schools with reading program

Elgin, IL-The Elgin Racers is pleased to announce the creation of 'Reading with the Racers', a literacy program designed to increase area students' interest in reading.
The Racers' first stop will be Kenyon Middle School on Friday, February 9 at 9:00am. Bob Fischer, president and owner of the Racers, will be joined by the Racers' staff and mascot as he reads to a group of 125 students. Sue Welu, Principal of Kenyon Woods, has been instrumental in creating this program.

The Racers' 2007 season kicks off on Friday, March 30 at the Spartan Events Center against the visiting Chicago Heights Soldiers.
