Fluor Field, Greenville, S.C. - July 12, 2012 - With bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning, the score rested at 4-4 between the Akron Racers and Carolina Diamonds. Racers first baseman Brianna Hesson drew herself a walk, bringing home the go-ahead run by scoring Kelley Montalvo for a 5-4 Racers lead.

The lead would be short lived however as Diamonds catcher Rachel Folden ripped a line-drive single with runners on first and third base in the bottom half of the seventh to tie the game up at 5-5. The ballgame was immediately suspended due to a weather delay with runners on first and third and Diamonds batter Jazlyn Lunceford at the plate.

The Racers and Diamonds will resume play tomorrow at 6:00 PM ET before the start of the regularly schedule game two of the four game series.
