Reading Fightin Phils News Release

Reading, PA -- The United States Marine Corps, Rock Hits Y-102 WRFY and the Reading Phillies are teaming up for the 8th consecutive season to bring holiday cheer to the children of Baseballtown as FirstEnergy Stadium will serve as a Toys for Tots drop-off point on Saturday, December 10 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

The main entrance to the ballpark will again be the focal point of the day's festivities, as the Marines will collect new, unwrapped toys and gifts to be distributed to less fortunate children in time for the holidays.

Among the highlights of the day will be the annual appearance of Santa and Mrs. Claus. For anyone donating a toy, there will be complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, hot dogs and soda. Snacks and drinks have been made possible thanks to Berks Packing, Stroehmann/Maier's, Pepsi & Goodman Vending.

The main concourse of the stadium will be decorated in traditional holiday style and seasonal music will be played over the sound system. Reading Phillies mascots Screwball, Quack, Bucky, Change-Up and Blooper will also appear throughout the day.

The Reading Phillies souvenir stand and ticket office will be open for holiday shopping and certain items will be discounted in hopes that they will be purchased and then donated to the Toys for Tots campaign.
