Brevard County Manatees News Release
Fans, how would you like to get a helicopter ride? The folks at Silver State Helicopters in Nevada recently opened a training branch in Melbourne and our staff recently sat down with the SSH staff to see if we can do some cross promotions this year. Already in the works is having SSH deliver the game ball via helicopter on opening night, possibly a post-game ping-pong ball drop on-field for prizes and a lucky fan winning a ride to and from the stadium for a Manatees game (delivered on-field where you'll be escorted to your own luxury suite where your family and friends will be waiting for you). SSH offers flight training for those searching for looking for a career change, even classes for those that are working full-time. They also have a program offering rides, aerial photography and more. You can check 'em out at www.silverstatehelicopters.com.
We had a few questions this past week that need answering:
1. How much does it cost for an outfield wall sign at the stadium? I've been thinking about purchasing an outfield wall sign at the stadium for my business; what is cost?
A standard 8' x 16' color outfield wall sign is $7,500. That cost includes design, production, shipping and installation for your business' sign and it will be displayed on the outfield wall during spring training, the Manatees season and during every other event at Space Coast Stadium. Some of the other events at the stadium include celebrity softball games, corporate parties/picnics such as the Harris Corporation picnic every fall, fundraising activities such as the annual Viera Schools Teacher Softball Tournament between the Viera Elementary Schools on the last day of school and much, much more. Brevard County has use of the stadium for 30 days a year and those signs are in place for all of their events as well. As you can see, a sign displayed for baseball really receives added value by being up for many other activities. Those businesses that purchase year-round signage on the outfield wall will receive some other perks such as discounted season tickets, etc. If you're interested, please call (321) 633-9200 x3005 and talk to Scott Pinner. Scott is also the guy to talk to regarding radio advertising this season. Let Scott create a package for you and really stretch your advertising budget.
2. Tell me again what the perks are for season tickets. Explain your season ticket package again.
Follow along because this is the most bang-for-you-buck ticket package: The cost is only $280 per season ticket. You need a $50 deposit to lock in your seat. The balance must be paid by April 5th to receive your tickets. Because we are the eternal nice guys, we will work with those fans that need a few more days or an extra week or two to make it happen. Our team ownership is committed to affordable family entertainment and we would never say no to those that have financial problems; our fans are our family and we focus on getting our family members the most perks...here's what you get for a $280 season ticket:
--Guaranteed Seat Location
-Undated Tickets to be used on any 2007 home date (use 'em when you want, any number on any night including fireworks nights)
--Free paved parking based on availability (Gate/Lot #4) --Admission to Manatees road games based on availability (join the Manatees road crew of staff and hard core fans as we visit other FSL ballparks are root, root, root for the Manatees) --Early admission, every night, every day...come in 30 minutes early and get autographs, hang out, guarantee yourself a giveaway item on giveaway nights --20% off regularly priced merchandise & group tickets -Free home playoff tickets, if applicable...(if we make it to the post-season your Season Ticket Holder Card is your ticket in for as many season tickets that you purchased) -End of season gift -Invitation to a late-or-post season private party
I don't know how much better this can get for $280. Parents, if you have four people in your family simply buy a pair of season tickets you're in for 35 home games with all four family members because you will receive blank date tickets. You can stay home in May and watch all the season finale shows (Bones, Lost Criminal Minds, Grey's Anatomy, etc.). You have no obligation or guilt trip to attend every home game when your schedule conflicts like you do with other team's season tickets. You can use them for bribes for employees or kids. You can go into work and tell your co-workers that you'll pick up the tickets for that night's game and they can pick up the hot dogs and drinks (you'll come out miles dollar-wise ahead in that deal). You have the luxury of using your tickets when you want because they're YOUR season tickets. Nobody in professional sports offers this deal. Nobody, not with the perks we have. If you can find somebody that will match it, we'll increase our package, I guarantee it. We are committed to making your season ticket package the best in pro sports history.
Interested? Call (321) 633-9200 x3007 and talk to Kyle Smith, our Ticket Director. Kyle will have you out to the stadium test-driving some seat locations until you find the ones you like. Yes, we're open on Saturdays and until 6:00 pm Monday thru Friday.
3. I heard that the Manatees are hosting the All-Star game this season; what is the date? The Manatees will be hosting the 2008 Florida State League All-Star Game. The 2007 FSL All-Star Game will be held at Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Daytona Beach. The 2008 ASG will be held on Father's Day Weekend here at Space Coast Stadium. One of the fun events for fans that weekend is the Collectors Autograph March and Treasure Hunt. If you attended the Autograph Crawl in Lakeland this past summer you'll understand it better, but essentially we'll have the All-Star players spread throughout The Avenue Viera businesses. Those fans interested in participating will purchase a treasure map that will show the location to the players (which stores and restaurants). You'll be able to collect photos and autographs from players and have your map marked at each location. You'll also receive a clue for the ASG Treasure Hunt. Our friends at The Avenue Viera have already committed to this event for 2008, so make plans to participate. There will be a small cost to participate in this event, but participants will receive lunch at The Avenue Viera and exclusive access to players. Portions of this event will benefit the Brevard Achievement Center, a great organization here in Brevard County that assists men and women with different levels of disabilities. The folks at the BAC are truly wonderful people and we wanted to include them as part of our fundraising activities for the ASG weekend. Why did we bid to get the 2008 game? Easy, we waited patiently until three major holidays came together on one weekend (Father's Day, Flag Day and the US Army's Birthday). Plug those together with an All-Star Game and you've got a weekend without rest and something fans will certainly love to participate in! C'mon, sing it with me....for it's one, two three times the fun at the ol' ball game! It'll be a three-day blowout of fun...we can assure you.
4. I recently signed up for your newsletter. What's the status of the treasure hunt? My brother told me about your treasure hunt. What do I have to do to participate?
Whatever you do, do not delete any email newsletter that we sent out since the New Year began. If you have, you need to acquire past emails and save them because you will definitely need all of them. Here's the skinny...we hid a medallion inside the county. We give clues to its location. You find it, you get the treasure. Every email newsletter that is sent out this year will contain a clue either hidden in the text of the email or printed plainly. Yes, this email has a clue in it, and fortunately for some of you, it's not hidden. The clues will get more and more detailed as time passes and ultimately you're going to put the pieces together. Our phones have begun to ring, emails are arriving asking to help clarify some of the clues. Don't bother looking for an edge. I am the only person with knowledge to the coin's location and what you get is what you get. If you go to our alternate web site at www.bcmanatees.net you'll get the full explanation. The prize is a pair of lifetime season tickets. That's lifetime, not 2007, Swabby. We're not giving them away; you're going to earn them and this contest will last until somebody finds them. Currently there are enough clues to take you to within one step of the coin's location. The location to the final clue has been hidden in previous emails. That's why you should never delete an email newsletter from us. We will keep offering clues to the location of the final clue which, if you have done your homework to this location, you'll keep your mouth shut and pound your head against the pavement trying to decipher the final clue to the coin's exact location. You can't get the coin unless you solve the clues to take you to the location of the final clue. Once you're there you will be required to solve a math puzzle and then you're on your way. Like we posted before, this isn't for the faint of heart, Mate, and you'd be wise to bring in only your most trusted friends because you want to broaden your horizons but not have to many pirates on your ship where one of them will beat you to your own treasure. Trust who you need to trust and play the game. Learn how to solve cryptograms, dice games and other puzzles because they will come into play. For those that are ready to say, "It's not worth it," you're right. Not for you. Quit. But for a hearty 20-30 people that keep hounding me, it's worth it. Every minute of the day somebody's working on the code. They want you to throw in the jock,. They need you to quit because it takes the heat off from them. They all need room to maneuver and the more that are playing make it more stressful for all. I can honestly tell you about two individuals that are now beginning to lay awake at night because they've picked up the scent. Others are right on their heels. If you started today you could catch up in by the 26th because we had one secret meeting for those that solved a clue...they foloowed instructions, came to the ballpark at an appointed date and time and received a clue that wasn't released in an email...the rest of you will receive that clue on the 26th, exactly two weeks after they received it....so everybody will be even-steven on the 26th (four days from now). If you're just joining the hunt, either step up or step back because you can't do this halfway. It'll drive you crazy and we can't have everybody crying for help.
Here's today's clue for those that are beggin' for it:
If you have the time on your hand
Mate, you'll see what I mean
'Tis be a Rooster and Moose
Just about five-fifteen.
That's about it for today. We will have the Hot Dog voting results from Saturday's Stadium Taste-Testing activity later this week. For those that didn't participate, we had fans taste-testing hot dogs Saturday helping us decide which dog will become the official hot dog of Space Coast Stadium this year.
