South Burlington, VT - The Frost Heaves next home game is this Sunday February 22 in Burlington against the Quebec Kebekwa. It is their first SUBWAY Champlain Cup game of the season. The SUBWAY Champlain Cup is a season long competition celebrating the 400th anniversary of both Lake Champlain and the great city of Quebec City. All games are intra-league games between the 3 participating teams and each team will play the other 2 teams in one home and one away game over the course of the 2008/2009 PBL season.
Points will be awarded as part of each game played in the series, and the team with the most points will be awarded the Champlain Cup in honor of their achievement. Points are awarded as follows:
- One point for leading at the end of a quarter (possible four points per game)
- Two points for winning a half (possible 4 points per game)
- Five points for winning the game
- Total possible points = 13 per game
Statistics will be kept separately from the regular season and will not be webcast in real time. The audio stream of the game will be available at NSNsports.net. Game time is 2:05 p.m. at Burlington's Memorial Auditorium.
