Rancho Cucamonga, CA- After a scoreless first inning, the Quakes jumped out to an early lead for All-Star pitcher Alexander Torres in the 2nd. Julio Perez led off with a walk and Jay Brossman followed with a singled before Carlos Colmenares sacrificed the runners to second and third. With one out Rian Kiniry tripled to right field to score both runners and give the Quakes a 2-0 lead. After a fielder's choice had Kiniry out at the plate and Phillips moving to third while the runner was in a run down, Alberto Rosario singled to right to score Phillips to make the score 3-0. Jeremy Moore then came up and blasted a two-run home run to cap the scoring and make it 5-0.

Alexander Torres held the JetHawks scoreless for the first four innings before Lancaster got an unearned run on an RBI ground out by Marcos Cabral in the 5th.

Lancaster added two runs against Torres in the 7th as Koby Clemens and Marcos Cabral hit solo home runs to make the score 5-3. Torres pitched through the 7th inning allowing just three runs on three hits while striking out eight.

The Quakes added a run in the 8th as Andrew Romine singled and Efren Navarro doubled him home to give Rancho a 6-3 lead.

Taylor Wilding and Michael Kohn pitched scoreless innings to finish the 6-3 win for the Quakes.

The Quakes will finish their three game series with Lancaster Thursday. Left hander Michael Anton will start for the Quakes against right hander Bryan Hallberg. Game time is scheduled for 7:05pm.
