Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release
(Fargo, ND) During the three-game sweep, the Jets and Bobcats managed a poor effort after the whistle was blown with over 200 penalty minutes racked up.
Every in fraction was called including goal tender interference by Adam Buegler of the Jets to close out a period on Saturday night. Andrew Harrison was suspended for Friday's 2-1 win in OT for a checking from behind call on Thursday night in Bismarck. If that wasn't enough there were over five game ejections on Saturday night in which was a 6-0 Jets win that lasted three hours and had nine full innings to say the least. Fans in attendance got all the action they could handle but at times it was ridiculous. As mere seconds ran off the clock before yet another whistle blew and shoving was the case again.
The most bizarre display of heated temperament took place Saturday night, as the Bobcats struggled to keep their composure. At one point in the game Buegler was taken into his own net Eric Lund prompting Marc Harrie to take matters into his own hands. Harrie and Lund wrestled, exchanged punches and included the Ref in all of this madness that sent both of them to the box immediately. It was a crazy game of hockey as 88 penalty minutes lead to 30 infractions. The penalty box overflowed on both sides with four Jets watching the action and six Bobcats were stacked on each other like Jenga, just trying to breathe.
All in all the Jets took away with six points and the shot in the arm they've been looking for from Joe Beaudette, Harrie, Erick Galt, Andrew Muir, Sean McNeely and of course, Buegler. The Jets will play one final two game set in Bismarck on February 29th and March 1st. You can expect another display of vulgar attitudes, so you might as well make the trip over to the capital city for the weekend!
