Pulaski Mariners News Release
The Danville Braves (24-15) got the better of the Pulaski Mariners (22-18) on Thursday night 6-2.
Daniel Missaki (3-1, 2.45) was not in his characteristic form. The righty yielded five runs on nine hits through five-and-one-third innings. Missaki struck out nine Braves.
Pulaski managed nine hits, but was unable to convert hits into runs. Gianfranco Wawoe doubled and scored on a Rafael Fernandez sacrifice fly in the third inning.
Fernandez would score the Mariners final run in the eighth inning on a left field single by Jay Baum.
Daniel Cordero (3-3, 5.72 ERA) started and won the game for Danville. He pitched six innings of one-run ball.
The two teams clash again on Friday night. The game begins at 7pm.
