MUSKEGON, Mich. - Robin Bouchard scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Muskegon Lumberjacks to a 6-3 International Hockey League victory over the Bloomington PrairieThunder before 4,137 people Saturday at L.C. Walker Arena.

The loss snapped a three-game Bloomington win streak and dropped its record to 17-15-2-4 (40 points). The PrairieThunder remains in fourth place in the standings. loominggton returns to action Wednesday with a 7:05 p.m. contest at home against Dayton.

Muskegon scored its first two goals in the first 67 seconds of the game to grab a lead it would never relinquish. M. Beausoleil scored the first goal off assists by D. Rohlfs and D. Surma only 49 seconds into the contest.

B. Bicek scored the Lumberjacks' second goal 18 seconds later on assists by Matt Krug and M. Robinson. Surma exteneded the advantage to 3-0 with a goal off an assist by Rohlfs with 12:19 left in the first period.

The PrairieThunder scored its first goal midway through the first period when Craig Macdonald found the net on assists by Jon Booras and Jamie Carroll. However, Muskegon stretched the lead to 4-1 five minutes when Bouchard scored his first goal with assists to Todd Robinson and John DiPace.

Brett Holmberg cut the deficit in half for Bloomington with an unassisted goal in the second period before DiPace and Bouchard both tallied power play scores for a 6-1 Muskegon lead after two periods. The assists went to Bouchard, Surma, DiPace and Robinson.

Matt McIlvane scored for Bloomington midway through the third period on assists by Robin Gomez and Nick Elligsen to bring about the frinal.

Muskegon owned a 47-25 advantage in shots and was 2 for 5 on the power play. Bloomington was unsuccessful on five attempts. Nick Centomo was the winning goalie, while Sebastian Dahm took the loss for Bloomington.
