River City Rascals News Release


The Rascals are pleased to announce Mario Night on May 17th. The Rascals will be finishing up their three-game homestand against the Traverse City Beach Bums. This night will be a throwback to many of the wonderful, classic video games; including Mario, Pacman etc.

Towards the end of May, the Rascals will be throwing things into reverse during Backwards Night! Backwards Night will be Friday, May 25th. The game will end with the National Anthem, and other "pre-game" announcements. Stop by the game to see just how Backwards things can get!

A few other highlights this season will include 20th Anniversary Night, presented by Great Southern Bank, June 9th where fans can receive a replica jersey. Splash Day June 20th is where kids and adults can get wet during our 11:05am game time with pregame and postgame activities. Other special event nights include Date Night June 22nd and Bark in the Park/Paw Patrol September 2nd.

July will be a fun filled month for the Rascals. July promotions take off with First Responders night on the 6th, followed by, Star Wars night July 7th, Diamond Dash on July 20th, Harry Potter night on the 21st, and finally a Jim Edmonds bobble head giveaway on Sunday July 22nd.

This year, CarShield Field will host the 2018 Frontier League Homerun Derby and All-Star game on July 10th and 11th. This year Jim Edmonds, Rick Ankiel, Marc Whitten and Ray Lankford will be in the Homerun Derby competing against the Frontier Leagues best.

Leading up to the second annual Legends Game at CarShield Field on Saturday, August 11th. The day will include autograph sessions and more with local personalities and former big leaguers!

The Rascals will be hosting a Adulting Night to acknowledge the accomplishments of Millennials. Participation certificates will be given out to the first 200 fans along with other millennial worthy events. The Adulting Night will take place on Friday, August 17th.
