Princeton Rays Introduce "Mountain Heritage Baseball Caps"
February 13, 2011 - Appalachian League (ApL)
Princeton WhistlePigs News Release
The Princeton Rays officially introduced on February 5 the newest addition to their great line of souvenirs, the P-Rays "Mountain Heritage" souvenir baseball cap.
The flex-fit cap which is manufactured by New Era Cap Company, features a navy blue front crown featuring the outline of the state of West Virginia complete with the Rays sunburst locating Princeton on the map. The back crown is white and features the team's blue "P" logo. The caps are available in small/medium (for cap sizes up to 7 1/4) and medium/large (for cap sizes from 7 1/4 to 7 3/4).
"We really needed a different purchase option for baseball caps in our souvenir stand other than just our standard on-field game cap. This really addresses that need by highlighting two things we are really proud of: the state of West Virginia and Rays baseball," commented P-Rays' General Manager Jim Holland, who added that the concept was originally orchestrated by his stepson, Warren Hypes, who is a graphic designer for the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL.
The item is now in stock at the team's Hunnicutt Field souvenir store and available for immediate purchase. The caps are $18.00 each and the Princeton Rays accept major credit cards. Orders can also be placed by either e-mail at princetonrays@frontier.com or by telephoning the front office of the Princeton Rays at (304) 487-2000.
