Princeton Rays Baseball Announces Formation of "Kids Club" For 2008 Season

The Princeton Rays Professional Baseball Team has announced the formation of a "Kids Club" that will bring a lot of benefits to area kids ages 12 and under who join.

Boys and girls ages 12 and under who pay the $12.00 membership fee will receive a P-Rays' "Kids Club" t-shirt and will receive free admission to all of the 34 P-Rays' regular season home games in 2008 at Hunnicutt Field in Princeton, WV simply by wearing their "Kids Club" shirt to the games. Joining the club also will allow the kids to attend a "members only" picnic with the entire 2008 Princeton Rays team on Sunday, June 15. The picnic will be sponsored by Wal-Mart of Princeton, who partnered with the P-Rays to be the major corporate sponsor on this project.

"We are going to make every effort to make the 2008 edition of a P-Rays Kids Club a success and based on our significantly increased youth attendance, especially over the past two seasons, we hope it will increase the amount of kids attending our games even more for years to come," commented P-Rays' General Manager Jim Holland.

He added that the Rays organization was proud to have Wal-Mart on board as the project's major corpoarte sponsor and said that the store's General Manager Matt Keesecker liked the positive aspects of such a project right from it's beginnings.

But the features of the club doesn't stop there as the club members will also receive a membership certificate, a membership card, their name listed in the P-Rays' program/yearbook, a card sent to them on their birthday by P-Rays' mascot Roscoe, the Princeton Ray Rooster, and a "members only" club meeting before each of the team's Saturday home games with a player from the 2008 P-Rays. Any club member that attends all five club meetings will be eligible for a drawing to win a baseball bat autographed by the entire 2008 Princeton Rays baseball team.
