
PrimeTime Players Cruise to 8th Straight league win.

PrimeTime Players opened slowly in Smithfield with neither team scoring a basket until the 8 minute mark of the first quarter, then PrimeTime open up there fast break game with numerous easy baskets and also a big second quarter from Malachai Jones to help push the halftime lead to 66-40. The second half started with 5 quick points form Charles Gamble to cut the lead to 21points but Donald Rutherford then hit a three pointer then had two back to back SportsCenter Top 10 Dunks to basically finish any chance that the Carolina Gladiators had of making a comeback and Carolina never got closer than 27 the rest of the way which was the final margin of victory at 127-100.
The PrimeTime Players who now moved to 8-1 in league play where led by Terell Smith with 23points and 7 rebounds and Brian Mobley added 20pts and 6 rebounds. PrimeTime Players also had 5 player with double doubles in the game with Thomas Pfaff 19points 14rebounds, Donald Rutherford 19pts 11rebounds, Malachai Jones 15pts 10rebounds, James Dillard 11pts 11rebounds, and Victor Street Jr with 11pts and 14assists. Travis Taylor for Carloina Gladiators led all scorers with 32pts and Charles gamble added 28pts for Carolina Gladiators who completed there season.
PrimeTime Players next host games Friday June 1st at Home against Wilmington then Saturday they will host the Cary Invasion which should decide the League Championship. This should be a great Crowd with Johnson C Smith battling Livingstone College in a Alumni game at 3:30 before the TRBL teams Play at 5:10.
