Pride Head to Boston for Battle With Cannons
July 26, 2006 - Major League Lacrosse (MLL)
New Jersey Pride News Release
The Pride hit the road this weekend as they face the Eastern Division-leading Boston Cannons on Saturday night. Game time is set for 7:00 pm at Nickerson Field on the campus of Boston University and can be heard live on http://www.njir.net. The Cannons are coming off a close win against Rochester last weekend and can clinch a post-season birth with a win. New Jersey is currently holding on to the slimmest of post-season hopes, needing a lot of help to earn their first trip to the playoffs since 2003. The key matchup will be at the Faceoff "X" where New Jersey's Andy Corno is currently 2nd in the league with a 0.580 winning percentage and is currently leading the league with 79 ground balls. Boston's David Jenins is currently 5th in the MLL, winning 0.566 of his faceoffs.
