Medford, Oregon - With the 146th overall pick of the 2015 MLB Draft, the Miami Marlins chose Justin Jacome.

Jacome played for the Medford Rogues during the 2013 season. He appeared in four games, and started three. He finished the summer with a 1-1 record and 0.87 ERA. He pitched 20.2 innings, struck out 20, gave up 17 hits, 2 earned runs and did not walk a single batter.

Jacome pitched eight innings in a shutout against Bend on July 5, 2013. He gave up seven hits, no runs, did not walk any batters and struck out seven, facing 29 batters. He gave up his only two runs in his appearance against Bend on July 11, 2013, his last time on the mound for the Rogues.

Current head coach of the Rogues, Josh Hogan, was also Jacome's coach in 2013. Hogan, talking about Jacome, said "he's so good because of his composure and the way he carries himself and his confidence. He can throw multiple pitches for strikes and his command is excellent and that's why he is so good."
