Nashville SC continued its domination of Atlanta United 2 on Saturday night in Kennesaw, Ga. with a 2-0 win. Both goals were scored in the first 11 minutes for Nashville as Atlanta put in an own goal before midfielder Matt LaGrassa scored from 25 yards out to double the lead. It was LaGrassa's second goal of the season, and Nashville's fourth win over Atlanta in four tries.

Scouting Tampa Bay

After a disastrous season that saw Tampa Bay Rowdies miss the USL Cup Playoffs in 2018, the Rowdies are back amongst the USL Championship elite in 2019. Ranked second in the Eastern Conference and first in the latest USL Championship Power Rankings, Tampa Bay has yet to lose in league play this season with a 4-0-5 record. The Rowdies are doing it with defense as they have allowed a league-low four goals though their nine matches, and have not allowed an opponent to score more than one in any match.

While the strength of the team is defense, the offense is nothing to scoff at either. The Rowdies have scored in all but two matches and have scored four goals in a match twice already this season, against Hartford Athletic and Atlanta United 2. Forward Sebastian Guenzatti has been the star man up top for Tampa with five goals to lead the team. Former Nashville SC striker Brandon Allen also now plays for Tampa and could look to victimize his former club.

Storylines to Watch

Nashville SC homestanding again - After five road matches in six for Nashville SC, it will get a much-needed homestand. The next three USL Championship matches, plus one U.S. Open Cup match, will be at home as the team will be able to play the next two weeks in Nashville. Nashville has been at its best at home and a string of home victories could serve as a jumping point for the rest of the season.

Allen back at First Tennessee Park - Former Nashville SC forward Brandon Allen will play his first game against his former club after departing Nashville to join the Rowdies. Allen has appeared in six of the nine matches for Tampa Bay, earning three starts. While he has been a rotational piece for Tampa, he has gotten on the scoresheet, scoring a stoppage time dagger against Atlanta United 2 in a 4-1 Tampa Bay win.

Rain, Rain Stay Away - To say that Nashville SC has had bad luck with weather this season would be a massive understatement. Nashville has played in the rain four times this season, and two of the three matches at home. The current weather forecast shows Wednesday evening to be mostly cloudy with a low chance of rain. @NashvilleSevereWx, the premier weather predictor in the Music City thinks that it should be clear and cool on Wednesday evening.

Nashville goes National - Wednesday night will mark the first-ever regular season national TV broadcast for the USL Championship, and Nashville SC will serve as the host for the historic night. It will be a Gold Rush for the match, so come out, wear gold and be ready to cheer on Nashville SC to a victory.
