KANSAS CITY - FC Kansas City returns to Swope Soccer Village this Saturday to host the Orlando Pride for the first time in franchise history. The game will start at 7:30 p.m.

The Orlando Pride joined the National Women's Soccer League as the 10th team during the offseason. Former Blues forward Sarah Hagen was selected in the expansion draft to help start the squad.

The Pride are off to a hot start, ranking fourth in the NWSL with four victories. The Pride won their first road game 1-0 on Friday in Houston. Kristen Edmonds scored the goal and Ashlyn Harris recorded the shutout.

The Blues fell 0-1 on the road on Sunday to the Boston Breakers . They are still searching for their first victory in the title defense.

Both teams will be playing without national team players that were called up for two June matches against Japan. Heather O'Reilly and Becky Sauerbrunn will represent the Blues, while Harris and Alex Morgan play for the Pride.

It will be almost a month before the Blues play at home on June 25, but they will play two road games against Sky Blue FC and the Houston Dash on June 11 and June 29.
