INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - The Missouri Comets are will begin their quest to the 2016 Ron Newman Cup this Friday when they visit longtime rival Milwaukee Wave for game one of the Divisional Round at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.
The game, which is scheduled to kick off at 7pm CT, will be streamed live on GoLive Sports Cast.

This will be the sixth time in a row that the Wave and Missouri square off in the playoffs. Milwaukee advanced in 2011 and 2012. However, the Comets have eliminated Coach Giuliano Oliviero's team in each of the last three campaigns. The Comets lead the All-time series 13-12.
Coach Vlatko Andonovski's team enjoyed a bye after having finished No. 1 in the Central Division, while the No. 3 Wave enters the series after eliminating the No. 2 Chicago Mustangs in Round 1 last weekend.
Milwaukee is led by midfielder Ian Bennett who finished the season with 44 points on 37 goals and seven assists. In addition, midfielder Max Ferdinand played an important role against the Mustangs on Friday and Sunday totaling two goals and two assists.
For the Comets, team captain Vahid Assadpour finished third overall with 50 points off of 23 goals and 27 assists. In goal, Boris Pardo led the league in wins with 16 and finished with a 4.57 GAA, second best.
