Grand Rapids Rampage News Release
The Grand Rapids Rampage will take part in a preseason scrimmage with the San Jose SaberCats tonight (Feb. 15) at Stockton Arena in Stockton, Calif. The game will be played under traditional AFL rules with slight variations, including 14-minute quarters and steps to protect each team's quarterbacks. The Rampage will use this scrimmage to better evaluate their training camp roster, which must be cut to 24 in exactly one week (Feb. 22).
Stockton Arena is home to the Stockton Lightning of arenafootball2. The Lightning, who ranked third in the af2 last season in average attendance, will be selling tickets to the event for $5, with proceeds going to charity.
