Prentice Purnell to represent Rome this weekend in NIFL All-Star Classic

ROME, Ga. - Renegades lineman, Prentice Purnell, will represent Rome this weekend in the first annual NIFL 2005 All-Star Classic in Odessa, Texas. Punell at 6'2" and 323 lbs. was an asset to the Renegades team and deserving of the honor to be selected as an All-Star. He ranks sixth in the league in sacks during the regular season and was a major contributor in earning the Renegades the title of third in the league for red zone defense.

This weekend's All-Star activities will begin tonight, Friday, August 5, with a skills competition at the Ector County Coliseum along with a Gala Banquet to complete the evening. On Saturday morning, Purnell along with other All-Star teammates will participate in a combine where coaches and scouts form every level of professional football are have been invited to attend. The actual All-Star game will be at 7:11 p.m. CDT on Saturday evening. Purnell and other all-stars chosen from the various teams in the league will take on the Odessa Roughnecks who went undefeated during the regular season.
