Orlando Predators News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. (February 9, 2006) -- Not only were the Orlando Predators winners at Hummer Field during last Friday night's game against the Kansas City Brigade, but they were also winners at the box office and in the concession lines.
Team President Brett Bouchy said that the team's ticket gross for the contest was the highest in team history. More than 13,500 tickets were sold for the game, which the Predators won 48-41.
In addition, the team reported that merchandise sales at the game eclipsed the record for regular season games. The merchandise sales were only exceeded by the Predators ArenaBowl XIV game with the Nashville Kats that they hosted in the TD Waterhouse Centre in 2000.
Fans also kept lines at the concession stands busy. Food and beverage sales were the second highest ever for a regular season game, only exceeded by the team's game against arch-rival Tampa Bay on Feb. 11 of last year.
Now in their 16th season, the Orlando Predators are enjoying their best season ever in both sponsorship and season ticket sales. As of Wednesday, the team had sold 10,625 season tickets and has seen corporate partnerships reach an all-time high in both volume and value.
Local sponsorship revenue, excluding any trade agreements, is running 47% ahead of last year's record amount and 250% higher than the 2003 total.
The team continues to sell pro-rated season tickets and hopes to pass the 11,000 mark before its third home game of the season on Sunday, March 5. Orlando hosts Philadelphia Soul on Saturday, Feb. 11. Season and single game tickets are available by calling 407-44-PREDS.
