Orlando Predators News Release

ORLANDO, FL - The AFL has named Orlando Predators wide receiver Khalil Paden MVP for Week 2 of the 2014 NET10 Wireless Arena Football League season.

Fans had 24 hours to vote on arenafootball.com. Through two weeks of the 2014 season, the rookie receiver leads the Predators in receiving and ranks third in the League with 233 receiving yards. He collected six catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns in the Predators comeback overtime victory over the LA KISS last Friday. In total, the receiver has collected 12 receptions for 233 yards and 3 touchdowns through the teams' first two games. Paden's big-play ability was well documented in the game, as the receiver's touchdowns were both on plays that were greater than 30 yards.

Paden was honored to be the MVP for Week 2, but he credits his teammates and coaching staff for his early success. "It's definitely a great honor, especially being so new to the arena game," said Paden. "The coaches have decreased the learning curve and prepared me to be successful in a new league. Coach [Siaha] Burley has been great in helping me learn and adapt.

"I couldn't have done it without [quarterback] Jason Boltus, my wide receivers and the offensive line. They make plays and give me the opportunity to be successful. The entire offense won MVP this week. I just want to continue to improve and continue to help the team win in any way that I can."

Paden and the Predators will travel to Tampa on Saturday as the team takes on the Tampa Bay Storm for the first installment of the "War on I-4." The game will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network at 7:00 p.m.
