Orlando Predators News Release
ORLANDO, FL - The Orlando Predators have been assigned Orlando native and former Florida State wide receiver Greg Carr, as announced by Head Coach Rob Keefe on ESPN Afternoons with Scott Anez on ESPN 580am in Orlando.
Carr, who finished his career at Florida State ranking fifth in school history in career receptions (148) and yards (2,574), is also currently tied for the second-most touchdowns by a receiver in school history with 29. During his freshman year at FSU, Carr scored nine touchdowns to mark the most touchdowns by a first-year Seminole since Warrick Dunn scored 10 times as a freshman during the 1993 season. Those nine touchdowns helped Carr earn All-ACC second team honors as a freshman.
Carr would go onto earn All-ACC second team honors for the second consecutive season during his sophomore year, and he would go on to earn All-ACC third team honors after he caught a career-high 45 passes for a career-high 795 yards during his junior year. When Carr's career at FSU was over, he had caught a touchdown in 21 of his 50 career games all while joining Peter Warrick as the only other Seminole in FSU's career top five for catches, yards and touchdowns.
After graduating from FSU, Carr signed with the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent. Carr also spent time in the Canadian Football League with Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Edmonton Eskimos, Saskatchewan Roughriders and Calgary Stampeders.
The Predators open up their season at home against the Jacksonville Sharks on Sunday March 16th, 2014 at the CFE Arena. For tickets, call the Predators office at (407) 648-4444.
