Orlando Predators News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. (June 1, 2006) -- Orlando Predators fans wishing to gather as a group to watch Sunday's National Conference Championship Game with the Dallas Desperados will have several opportunities.
The "In Your Face Booster Club" has arranged for a Predators watch party The Cork Room Lounge at 671 S. Goldenrod Road, just south of the East-West Expressway. In honor of the Predators, the Cork Room will offer specials on food and beverage throughout the game.
Another watch party is being arranged with Friday's Front Row at 8126 International Drive. Food and beverage specials are being planned. For more information, call Joe at 407-301-1356.
Late Wednesday, the Predators called off plans to charter a plane for fans to Dallas. "We had the plane lined up but the charter company was unable to secure a flight crew for the weekend," Predators President Brett Bouchy said. "It was unfortunate that we were unable to get that done and we apologize to the fans that expressed an interest in going to Dallas. We certainly appreciate the fact that our many fans will be with us in spirit on Sunday."
Kickoff for Sunday's game between Orlando (11-6) and Dallas (14-3) is 3 p.m. EDT and it will be televised nationally on NBC Sports (Tom Hammond, Pat Haden, Lewis Johnson). The winner advances to next Sunday's ArenaBowl Championship game against the winner of Saturday's American Conference title game between San Jose (11-6) and Chicago (9-9).
