
Pre-Registration Set for Raiderettes Auditions

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (October 13, 2003) â The Cedar Rapids River Raiders will conduct auditions for the River Raiders Dance and Cheer Team (Raiderettes) on Saturday, November 8 at Westdale Mall in Cedar Rapids, IA. The auditions will be on the lower level, near the LensCrafters, from Noon-4 p.m.
The Raiderettes will not only perform at all 15 River Raider home games, but they will also act as River Raider ambassadors for events throughout the community. The Raiderettes will make numerous appearances throughout the year for private, civic and charitable events on behalf of the River Raiders.
Applications can be picked up at the River Raiders office at 999 44th Street, Suite 1000 Marion, IA 52302 or Westdale Mall at the information booth or requested by mail or fax. There is a pre-registration fee of $10. If applicants register the day of the auditions, the cost is $15. The cost includes a t-shirt that must be worn during try-outs. Applicants must be18 years or older and be a high school graduate. Applicants are also asked to please submit a full-length photo which will not be returned.

The River Raiders will start its inaugural 30 game regular season in April of 2004 at the U.S. Cellular Center in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
