New York Power News Release
New York, NY - The New York Power and Bagel Boss, the Original, in Hicksville have joined together in a partnership for the team's 2003 season to offer several unique promotions for the Long Island based women's professional soccer team, including the creation of the "Power Bagel."
Bagel Boss had formulated a New York Power Bagel, made with fruit and fiber, including nuts and raisins, which will be sold in Bagel Boss throughout the Power's third season. In addition, any time the New York Power hold their opponents scoreless at a Power home game, thus "bageling" their competition, fans will win a free bagel, courtesy of Bagel Boss by redeeming their ticket stub at the Bagel Boss location.
"We're excited to have Bagel Boss come on board and partner with the New York Power," said Power GM Susan Marenoff. "Having a local Long Island business create a product based on our team, which tastes great I will add, is such a great sign of support and involvement within the community.
Partnering with local Long Island businesses is something we, as a local Long Island team, find very important to our success and involvement within the community."
Bagel Boss will also be the offical caterer of the New York Power, serving all Power players, staff and press box meals at home games.
The New York Power is one of eight professional women's soccer teams that make up the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA), the world's premier women's soccer league. 2003 New York Power tickets remain the same price as last season ($25, $20, $17) and the addition of a $10 ticket with the use of a 10-ticket voucher "Power Pack". Along with the Power mini-plan packages, there is a flexible, affordable option for everyone. For 2003 ticket information, please contact the Power ticket office at 1-866-POWR-TIX (1-866-769-7849) or by visiting www.nypower.com.
