Power Suffers Tough Road Loss to the NBL Champs 126-107

(OSHAWA, ON) Durham's team the Oshawa Power fell to the hands of the undefeated London Lightning 126-107 to even their regular season record to 4- 4.

After an aggressive first quarter, the Power trailed the inaugural champs only by 5 points, the lead swelled to 9 points with the Lightning up 57-48. The Power's leading scorer Nick Okorie had a solid outing for Oshawa leading all scorers with 24 points. William "Bo" Harris also chipped in with 23 points, 5 rebounds and a team high 7 assists.

Jushay Rockett was a force on the boards leading all players in the rebounding category with 16 and 4 on the offensive end.

The Lightning came out of the halftime strong and increased their lead 80-59 midway through the third and finished the quarter scoring 40 points compared to Oshawa's 25 points. The home team had seven different players scoring in double digits led by Tim Ellis who poured in 23 points.

Despite showing much heart and outscoring London in the final quarter, Durham's team was unable to overcome the huge deficit and was unable to come away with the victory, losing their third game in the last five.

The Power will head back home for a three game home stand in which they'll take on the Saint John Mill Rats, the Montreal Jazz, and finally the Halifax Rainmen on December 1, 2012.
