(Mississauga, ON - ) The Power hosted Toys for Tots night tonight in front of a crowd of 544, raising money and collecting toys for underprivileged youth. The Power faced the Brampton A's in an extremely close match up. The A's once again had the Power's number, defeating the home team 97-91, dropping the Power to 7-10 for the season. Nick Okorie had 25 points for the Power while Dwight McCombs helped out with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Melvin Council and Kevin Francis had 19 apiece to lead the A's.
The Power played the A's evenly through three quarters, heading into the final frame down 69-62. The teams continued to play evenly until Scottie Haralson put the A's up by three with a minute left in the game. The Power would not find another basket on the offensive end, falling to the A's 98-91. "We fell short, had a few too many mistakes," explains the Power's guard Tyler Murray. He continues, "We got beat up on the glass but these were all things we can control so we'll come out ready tomorrow in Brampton."
The Power head to Brampton tomorrow night for a rematch against the A's followed by a match up with the Express in Windsor. The team returns home on December 27th to take on the London Lightning.
