
Power Goes Pink on Wednesday

(OSHAWA, ON) Durham's Team the Oshawa Power goes pink on Wednesday February 1 at 7:30 p.m. against the Summerside Storm in support of breast cancer awareness. The Power will raise funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation as part of the NBL Canada's Cure on the Court initiative.
The Oshawa Power players will don pink apparel as part of their uniforms for the game and fans are also encouraged to wear pink to the game to support a great cause.
"Breast Cancer has and continues to affect the lives of so many loved ones in our community," said Gary Durrant President of Basketball Operations. "Oshawa Power is very happy to join forces with our fans in raising awareness and supporting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation to help find a cure."
The Power will raise funds through raffles, silent auctions and a 50/50 draw and are also offering a $25 Power Goes Pink Package which includes a ticket to the game, a Power t-shirt, and a swag bag of donated gifts.
Proceeds raised during the evening will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Ontario Region to assist their awareness campaigns as well as breast cancer research, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care.
The Cure on the Court game will also be broadcast live on Rogers TV Durham.
Rogers Communications is also a Premier Title Sponsor of the Oshawa Power.
