
Power Get Back on Winning Track with 112-96 Win over Halifax

(Mississauga, ON -) The Mississauga Power returned to action Thursday night as the team looked to bounce back at home against the Halifax Rainmen. Although Halifax had a 12 point lead in the second quarter, the Power surged back to take a 47-45 lead at the half.
The Power played a balanced offense, with 5 players having 5 or more points. Brock Gillespie led Halifax with 8 points at the half.
The Power put on a dunking exhibition in the second half, outscoring the Rainmen 65-51. The final score was 112-96. Mark Gomillia contributed 20 points and 5 rebounds in the win. JuJuan Cooley had 18 points and 8 assists in the losing effort for Halifax.
The Power improve to 2-1 while Halifax falls to 0-4. "We started a little slow but after halftime we really picked it up," said Power forward, Thijin Moses. Moses continues, "We sustained our lead and came out with a great win! For me personally, coming off and contributing to the win gave me confidence and I feel that helped us play a great game tonight." See the full box score here.
The Power are headed on a 3 game road trip before returning to play at the Hershey Centre against the London Lightning on November 21st.
