Power Fall to SkyHawks 98-89

(Mississauga, ON - ) The Mississauga Power have dropped five games in a row after losing 98-89 to the SkyHawks at home. Morgan Lewis had 19 points and 9 rebounds for the Power, while Tyler Murray chipped in with 17 points. The SkyHawks' Jermaine Johnson led all scorers with 20 points.

The two teams were dead even in the first half. The Power had a three point lead in the first quarter only to have Ottawa tie up the game at 42 heading in the half. The SkyHawks played a strong third quarter, building an 11 point lead heading to the final frame.

The Power went on a 12-4 run in the 4th quarter, cutting the SkyHawk lead to 6. Nick Okorie and Murray made back to back threes late in the fourth, cutting the SkyHawk lead to one, prompting a timeout. Ryan Anderson made a running layup while Justin Tubbs made an easy bucket to put the SkyHawks up by 5 points with a minute left in the game. The Power were unable to convert on the offense end, as the home team would ultimately fall 98-89.

The Power will look to reverse their fortunes as the team travels to London to face the Lightning tomorrow night. The Power will then travel to Windsor to face the Express on January 3rd before returning home for a rematch with the SkyHawks on January 4th.
