Mississauga Power News Release

(OSHAWA, ON) Durham's team the Oshawa Power defeat the Saint John Mill Rats 111 - 103 to once again move above the .500 mark on the season.

The Power started off slowly once again finding themselves on the wrong end of a 10 - 3 run to start the game, but an energetic bench unit led by Larry Diamond came in and took control of the game leading to a comfortable victory for Durham's Team.

Diamond broke the game open in the third quarter with his three point shooting nailing back-to-back threes. Diamond finished the game with 15 points off the bench.

"It's all about executing," said Diamond after the victory. " We were able to execute the plays, and my teammates found me and I was able to knock down the shots today."

Mark Gormillia started for the Power and finished with 18 points in a strong performance. Jushay Rockett led the team with 21 points and added 4 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Local Durham region star Courtney Small and Papa Oppong once again had a stand out effort. They continue to do the little things that don't show up on the stat sheet.

The Power will play the second half of a back-to-back as they host the Montreal Jazz for the first time this season. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. Saturday's home game against the Halifax Rainmen has been moved from a 7:00 p.m. start time to a 2:00 p.m. start time.

Power Glance Record: 5-4

Next Home Game: Thursday November 29, 2012 7:00 p.m. vs. Montreal Jazz. For more information about the Oshawa Power, please visit www.powerbasketball.ca.
