Power Announce Open Tryouts November 20th

(Pittsburgh, October 28, 2011) Tryouts for position players will be held at Southpointe Fieldhouse, located at 104 Cecil Henderson Road, Canonsburg, November 20th . Check-in and warm-up begins at 6:30 am, with tryouts following from 8:00 am to 3:00.pm.
Four players from the October 1st open tryout were offered 2012 contracts. "I really liked what I saw," Power head coach Chris Siegfried said regarding on the previous tryout. "We still have needs at several positions and the guys on our radar only scratch the surface of the available talent that's out there in western Pennsylvania," Siegfried continued.
Three players who participated in the 2010 open tryout were signed by the Power, including leading WR Mike Washington, and QB Antony Morelli, who threw for 14 TD's in 2011.
The fee for tryouts is $75. Participants will receive instruction and evaluation from the Pittsburgh Power coaching staff and ownership, including Siegfried, and former Steeler legend, NFL Hall of Famer Lynn Swann. Everyone will also receive a Pittsburgh Power T-shirt and a ticket to the Power 2012 home opener. Space is limited and early signup is recommended.
