Portland Reign names head coach/general manager

Portland, OR. Mary Liss, Co-owner of the Portland Reign professional basketball team starting play in November, announced that Antonio Harvey will serve as Head Coach and General Manager for the ABA expansion team.
Harvey recently retired from the NBA following an eleven eyar professional career in basketball, playing nine years in the NBA and two years in Europe. Harvey is currently the founder and President of All-Stars Sports Academies which offers specialized sports and advanced skill training to aspiring athletes. Liss stated, "We are very happy to have Antonio as part of the Reign team. He is a very special individual with great knowledge of basketball and business."
Harvey graduated from Pfeiffer University in 1993 and began playing with the Los Angeles Lakers. Internationally, Harvey's professional basketball career has included Italy, Greece, and Poland. His NBA careered included the Los Angeles Clippers, Seattle Sonics and Portland Trailblazers.
"I am excited to begin my coaching career with The Portland Reign. We have an excellent ownership group that supports me in my endeavor to lead this team to success on and off the court. I am proud to be a part of this organization," stated Harvey. He continued, "We hope to bring to this community fun-filled, family-oriented and affordable entertainment, and I invite everyone to come out and watch the Reign."
