THE PIRATES ADVANCE TO THE EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS!
In an exciting Game 6, the Portland Pirates got two goals from Jason King in a 5-4 win over the Providence Bruins on Friday night at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The Pirates will face the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Friday's game marked the Pirates 107th Calder cup playoff game franchise history. It was the third consecutive game J.S. Aubin has made 30 or more saves. Aubin is 8-1 in the playoffs and hasn't suffered a defeat since Game 1 of the Atlantic Division semifinals at Hartford on April 16th.
The Pirates will take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, who defeated the Philadelphia Phantoms by a score of 3-1 at the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza on Friday Night. With the win, the Penguins claimed the series in five games. The Pirates posted a 1-1-0-0 record against the Penguins this season, beating them 2-1 at home on January 25 and dropping a 3-0 decision on the road February 8.
The Eastern Conference Finals series, which will follow a 2-3-2 format, will open in Wilkes-Barre with Games One and Two slated for Wednesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 15. The full Eastern Conference Finals schedule is listed below.

Fans can purchase all potential Pirates home playoff games. Tickets can be purchased in person or by phone (207) 775-3458 at the Cumberland County Civic Center Box Office.
The Box Office is open from 9:30 am- 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm on Saturdays and closed on non-game Sundays. When the Pirates play weekend home games, the Box Office is open on Saturday from 9:30 am through the second intermission of the game and on Sunday from 10:00 am through the second intermission of the game.

COUNTDOWN TO THE 3 MILLIONTH FAN...
The Pirates are only 588 fans away from welcoming the franchise's 3,000,000th fan. The milestone will happen Sunday afternoon when the Pirates host the Penguins for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals at 4:05 p.m. and one lucky fan attending the game will be the 3,000,000th fan in franchise history. A Commemorative Plaque
In celebration of Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals and the Pirates 3 Millionth Fan, the Pirates will be hosting a pre-game party on the Spring Street Plaza of the Civic Center from 2:00 until game time on Sunday. The party will feature local band Weatherd performing a free concert for Pirates fans.
Portland is one of the American Hockey League's oldest franchises having reached the three million fan plateau in their 15th season in the American Hockey League. Only Albany, Providence, Hershey and Rochester have a franchise history equal or longer than the Pirates. In the history of the Portland franchise the Pirates have had 84 sellouts. The sellout crowd of 7,420 on February 4, 1995 at the Cumberland County Civic Center was the largest crowd in Pirates history.
LOOKING AHEAD...
Pizza Time in Scarborough and The Stadium in Portland will host watch parties on Wednesday, May 14 for Game 1 and Thursday, May 15 for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Portland Pirates and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
Pizza Time and the Stadium will air the live video feed from B2 Networks starting at 6:50 p.m.
Pizza Time is located at 185 U.S. Route 1 in Scarborough, Maine.
The Stadium is located at 504 Congress Street in Portland. The watch party at the Stadium will take place in the function room in the back of the restaurant.
The event is free and open to the public and media.
