Los Angeles D-Fenders News Release

El Segundo - Eric Musselman's D-Fenders made late-game defensive adjustments to outscore the Texas Legends 35-15 in the fourth quarter and pull a come-from-behind 104-92 win at the Toyota Sports Center. Los Angeles' (7-3) defense held Texas to 39.8 percent shooting while Eniel Polynice, who recorded his first triple-double of the season (23 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists), fueled the D-Fenders offense.

"I thought he played smart and played harder than he has," Musselman said of Polynice's Monday night performance. "He figured out angles tonight and he's a great dribble driver."

Aside from defensive adjustments, the D-Fenders shot 54.9 percent and were led in scoring by Brandon Costner (29 points) for the sixth time this season. Teammate Jordan Brady finished with 16 points (7-12 FG) and five rebounds off the bench, Gerard Anderson tallied 14 points (5-7 FG) and five rebounds, and Otis George registered 13 points (6-7 FG) and six rebounds.

Texas (1-6) was paced by Booker Woodfox, who totaled 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting and five assists. Derek Williams scored 16 (4-6 3FG) off the bench and Vance Cooksey finished with 14 points and five assists.

With the win, Los Angeles is now 5-1 in its last six games. The D-Fenders next play a home-and-home series, first travelling to Bakersfield for their 7:00 p.m. contest on Dec. 16 before returning home for a game on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

For the first time ever, the D-Fenders are offering season ticket packages for the 2011-12 season that include special Lakers ticket purchase opportunities as well as various other incentives. Walk-up day of game general admission and courtside tickets are also still available for most home games. Ticket information is available on the team's website ( www.d-fenders.com ) or by contacting Nima Behboodi at (310) 426-6043 / nbehboodi@d-fenders.com .
