While the Ontario Hockey League's Plymouth Whalers host the Kingston Frontenacs on Friday at 7:05 pm at Compuware Arena (TV, 7 pm, CN-900), two prominent members of the Whalers alumni now in the National Hockey League will be playing at Joe Louis Arena on Friday as the Red Wings host the Washington Capitals.
Tom Wilson and Connor Carrick played for the Whalers last season and made the jump to the National Hockey League and Washington this season.
17 Plymouth Whalers alumni are currently active in the National Hockey League, with another 18 playing in the American Hockey League.
