The Southwest Michigan Devil Rays are proud to announce the 2006 "Catch Some Rays" promotional schedule. In addition to the thrill of Midwest League baseball, the Devil Rays are planning a summer filled with exciting promotions to celebrate 12 great seasons of baseball in Southwest Michigan.
Every game this season at C.O. Brown will have attractions for children and adults. On Opening Day, April 8th, the King and His Court will play in a softball game against local media personalities. This year will also be highlighted by 10 post-game fireworks shows including a 4th of July spectacular. The first fireworks show of the season is on Hispanic Night at C.O. Brown on May 19th. One of the most anticipated nights is back on May 30th with NASCAR Night. On this night, fans will have the chance to see show cars and win tickets to Michigan International Speedway.
A highlight of the 2006 season will be the June 30th appearance of the ZOOperstars! The ZOOperstars! feature inflatable mascot entertainers featuring Harry Canary, Shark McGwire and Jeff Gordog. There will be great money saving promotions nearly every night at C. O. Brown. Munchie Mondays will feature discounted food items from the concession stands. Tuesdays, excluding July 4th, will be Red Hot Chicago Dime Dog Days, where you can grab a dog for just a dime.
Thirsty Thursdays are sure to be fun at the ball park this year. Select beverages are only a dollar. When the game is over, Devil Rays' fans can hang out at the TDS Metrocom Left Field Bar, where they can enjoy live local music and share good times with friends.
McCullough Family Chiropractic Family Sunday is back in 2006. Various entertainers and cartoon characters will be at C. O. Brown Stadium each Sunday to meet children and sign autographs.
